Typhoon "Emong" swept through Luzon 3 dead, 3 missing. In MANILA Philippines, three people were killed while three others were reported missing as typhoon "Emong" swept through Luzon yesterday.
According to Defense Secretary and National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) head Gilberto Teodoro Jr., one died of a heart attack in Sta. Cruz town and two were killed in a landslide in Kiangan, Ifugao.
He added that five people — three from Kiangan, Ifugao, and two from Olongapo City, Zambales — were also injured during the storm.
“Emong” is expected to leave the country’s area of responsibility by Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) announced earlier today.
