Mark Landon, found dead in West Hollywood home

Mark Landon, found dead in West Hollywood home. Actor, 60, found dead in his West Hollywood home. Mark Landon, the eldest son of late "Little House on the Prairie" actor Michael Landon, was found dead in his West Hollywood home on Monday, according to The Associated Press.

A cause of death was not determined at press time, but police said there was no evidence of foul play in the 60-year-old sometime actor's death.

Mark Landon, one of Michael Landon's nine children, was adopted in 1956 at the age of 7 by Landon and his then-wife, Dodie Levy-Frasier, who also adopted Mark's younger brother at the same time. Though his father was best known for long-running roles in such popular series as "Bonanza," "Prairie" and "Highway to Heaven," Mark Landon had just a handful of acting credits to his name. He had a small role as a cab driver in the 1991 TV movie "Us," which was written and directed by Michael Landon just before the family patriarch died of cancer at the age of 54.

Mark Landon also had small roles in the 1986 movie "Double Edge" and appeared as Navy Seal #1 in the 1997 film "Goodbye America."
