Multi-awarded film and television actress Claudine Barretto turns 30


Multi-awarded film and television actress Claudine Barretto turns 30. In Manila Philippines, discovered by the late talent manager Douglas Quijano, the popularity of multi-awarded film and television actress Claudine Barretto began after she was cast as one of the talents of ABS-CBN’s youth show “Ang TV.”

At a young age, she was already acting alongside comedian Dolphy (Home Along Da Riles) and actor Aga Muhlach (Oki Doki Doc). She also starred in various hit TV shows including Mula Sa Puso, Saan Ka Man Naroroon, Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan, Marina and Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin.

Some of her notable films were Lagalag: The Eddie Fernandez Story, Madrasta, Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita, the movie adaptation of Mula Sa Puso, Soltera, Kailangan Kita, Anak, Milan and Sukob.

Barretto, who already won three best actress awards, was crowned Box Office Queen when her 2002 film with former boyfriend Rico Yan, Got 2 Believe, became a box-office hit. Got 2 Believe was her last movie with the late Rico Yan.

Barretto, 30, is married to actor Raymart Santiago, who is also celebrating his birthday today. Santiago, 36, is an action star and comedian. They have two children.

Other July 20 celebrators are actor-dancer Rayver Cruz, 20, and actor Biboy Ramirez, 28.
