Tornado in Goshen County Live Coverage (with 8 videos). A small tornado was spotted along the Nebraska-Wyoming border Friday afternoon and the National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for parts of northeast Colorado.

Thunderstorms are rolling through the Front Range and the eastern plains with periods of heavy rain and hail. A TORNADO WATCH is still in effect for extreme northeast Colorado until 10 PM, but the strongest storms have developed further north.


The tornado was seen in Goshen County, Wyo. It did not appear to be near any cities or communities.The tornado was first seen at 4:07 p.m. about eight miles north of the Meriden rest area.The weather service said the tornado moved east at 25 mph and dissipated around 4:30 p.m. According to weather forecasters the tornado was likely an EF0 or EF1.No tornados have been reported in Colorado. The tornado watch will be in effect for Logan, Phillips, and Sedgwick Counties until 10 p.m. Friday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed in the Metro Area Friday evening. Residents in Aurora reported hail and some brief heavy rain. These storms are not expected to become severe.
