American Idol Season 8 Champion, Kris Allen sing the national anthem at NBA finals Game 2. The NBA is teaming up with "American Idol" this weekend. Season 8 champ Kris Allen is scheduled to sing the national anthem at the second game of the NBA finals on Sunday, June 7th, on ABC at 8:00 p.m..
The 23-year-old will serenade basketball fans at the Staples Center when the Los Angeles Lakers play the Orlando Magic. The Lakers won the first game Thursday night. The final score was 100-75. In July, Allen and the top 10 "Idol" finalists will return to the Staples Center with the "American Idol" 2009 Summer Tour.
Kris' version of the anthem will air live this Sunday on ABC.
