In 58th Miss Universe Pageant, Miss Philippines Pamela Bianca Manalo received warm welcome from Filipinos in Bahamas

In 58th Miss Universe Pageant, Miss Philippines Pamela Bianca Manalo received warm welcome from Filipinos in Bahamas. The Philippine representative to the Miss Universe pageant received a warm welcome from Filipinos based in the Bahamas, the host nation.

Ms. Philippines Pamela Bianca Manalo feels quite at home in the Bahamas where she and other fellow candidates to the pageant have been staying for about a month.

Manalo was happy to be welcomed by Filipinos who cheered for her to win in the pageant.

There are around 500 Filipino professionals and household help residing and working in the Bahamas.

The 58th Miss Universe Pageant will be held at the Atlantis Resort Paradise Island in the Bahamas. It will be the first time for Bahamas to host the Miss Universe Pageant.

Last year, the pageant was hosted by Vietnam where Miss Venezuela was crowned as Miss Universe.

In 2007, the pageant was held in Mexico where Miss Japan bagged the title.

Among the audience’s favorites in this year’s pageant are Ms. Ecuador, Ms. Iceland, Ms. Canada, Ms. Iceland, Ms. Canada, Ms. Venezuela, Ms. Puerto Rico, Ms. Dominican Republic, Ms. USA, Ms. Russia, Ms. Sweden, Ms. Mexico, and Ms. Philippines.

ABS-CBN will air the Miss Universe 2009 live via satellite on August 24, Monday at 9:30 a.m. with a primetime telecast on the same day on Velvet (SkyCable channel 53) at 8:00 p.m. With TV Patrol World.
