This is the third time the city has held the basketball showcase. The game is the 58th annual All-Star Game. Commissioner David Stern made the announcement at a news conference on November 8, 2007 at US Airways Center, where the game will be played. Phoenix was the site of the All-Star Game in 1995 and 1975.
