The wedding was a small, private Jewish-style ceremony held at the Hotel Maya. The outdoor ceremony itself lasted about half an hour.
Family and guests were not allowed to comment on the marriage.
A spokesperson for the couple said the couple wished for privacy and would address the media as well as release official photos and videos when they are ready.
Guests said the outdoor ceremony and reception including a karaoke after-party were held on a yacht.
Last month, People’s Champ and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao said he hopes that reports about Ranillo’s engagement will finally put an end to speculations that they had an affair.
“At least, wala ng masasabi ang mga tao, na masabi pa nila na kami pa din, na may relasyon kaming dalawa… pero at least tapos na ‘yon. Hindi na sila magdududa,” he said.
The 7-division world champion also said he is happy to hear that Ranillo is getting married next year to her childhood sweetheart. “Masaya ako para sa kanya. Hindi pa naman [kami nag-uusap]. Masaya ako kung saan siya masaya,” he added.
Rumors about the alleged Ranillo-Pacquiao affair started last year during the filming of the fantasy movie “Wapakman” where the 2 played the leads.
Despite their repeated denials, the affair sparked a media frenzy after photos of them together were uploaded on the Internet.
The controversy forced Ranillo to fly to the US to avoid local media.
