"Sobrang excited at ni-nenerbiyos din. It's a very new show na may new media. Mayroon kaming mga ini-experiment na bago. Kaya medyo nine-nerbiyos din na kung ano kaya ang magiging reaction ng mga viewers. Pero I think naman they will see kung ano ang show talaga. It's going to be very new for mornings," KC said during a press conference of her newest show.
KC said what makes her show really different from other morning shows is that she will be part of the guests' lives by doing things they did or are doing.
"Ito kasi hindi siya report. Hindi siya basta pinag-aralan namin tapos ire-report namin or ige-guest kita at iinterbiyuhin kita. Yong experience niya ay 'halika samahan mo kami. Tignan natin kung kaya mo.' Sila sa akin. So ako naman okay, sabay naman ako. Ito yong sabay sabay kaming natututo at sabay naming nararanasan yung nararanasan ng guest namin," KC told abs-cbnnews.com
KC, daughter of megastar Sharon Cuneta by actor Gabby Concepcion, added that her new show will reveal her simple life as a normal individual while experiencing part of the personal lives of her guest celebrities.
For its pilot week, "Simply KC" will feature ABS-CBN's hottest leading men -- Luis Manzano, Jericho Rosales and John Lloyd Cruz.
Cruz will take KC on a bumpy adventure and will go on trail biking which he does as preparation for his upcoming series "Impostor" with Angel Locsin.
Rosales will bring KC back to his childhood and they will tour the marketplace while giving "diskarte" tips learned during his teenage years while working as kargador (stevedore) in Concepcion Market, Marikina.
Meanwhile, brothers Manzano and Ryan Christian Recto will challenge KC to try their favorite bonding activity --Muay Thai kickboxing.
To complete the week, Mariel Rodriguez will share with KC her life as lolo and lola's girl while Pokwang will reveal things she did for love.
Aside from featuring the private lives of her guests, KC will also have fun exploring things and experiencing the simple life like riding the LRT and cutting the hair of some grandmothers at the elderly home Golden Acres.
The country's first interactive morning show will premiere this coming Monday, May 24 at 9:45 a.m. before "Showtime."
Not 'Sharon'
KC who is always being compared to her mother, also cleared speculations that her newest show is just similar to her mom's self-titled talk show.
"Ibang iba ang feel niya kasi ang 'Simply KC' ay mabilis at fun, yung makikita mong loka-loka lang kami. Kasi it's fun. Young morning show. [Ang 'Sharon'] naman panggabi so medyo mas relaxed ang tao, medyo patulog na, medyo more mature ang audience. It's very different at mas mabuti naman na na-experience ko both sides," said KC who also appeared on her mom's show as guest co-host.
Concepcion who grew up in front of cameras also reacted to reports claiming that there are people questioning her capability as a host.
Asked about her reaction to the said issue, KC told the news site: "I'm not gonna defend myself. For me, just watch the show. Just watch. Kasi if you worry too much... I mean parang manood na lang kayo at i-enjoy niyo na lang kung ano ang pwedeng i-enjoy sa show," KC said.
KC is not a newbie when it comes to hosting since she was a former VJ for MTV Asia when she was only 18.
She has also been a spokesperson for a lot of major products in the country. Currently, KC is also co-hosting the weekly entertainment show "The Buzz" and is filming a movie.
