Floyd Joy Mayweather, Jr. was born Floyd Sinclair on February 24, 1977, is an American professional boxer. He is the son of Floyd Mayweather, Sr. From July 18, 2005 through June 2, 2008 he was rated by The Ring magazine as the number-one pound for pound boxer in the world.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his mother's last name. His last name would change to Mayweather shortly thereafter. His father, Floyd Mayweather, Sr., is a former welterweight contender, while two of his uncles, Jeff Mayweather and Roger Mayweather, won championship titles.
Mayweather has won six world boxing championships in five different boxing weight classes; he is the former WBC welterweight champion, a title he vacated upon his retirement. He was named Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year in 1998 and 2007. Mayweather is undefeated with 40 wins including 25 by knockout.
"Sugar" Shane Mosley was born September 7, 1971, is a boxer from Pomona, California. He has won world titles in three weight divisions, and is the current WBA Welterweight Super Champion. He is also a major proprietor of Golden Boy Promotions.
Sugar Shane started his pro career in 1993, by 2000 he had fought 34 times amassing a 34–0 (32) record, beating undefeated Phillip Holiday to win the IBF Lightweight title. He made 9 title defenses with all inside the distance, but never unified belts. Mosley relinquished his lightweight title to move up 2 divisions, facing Oscar De La Hoya for his Welterweight title.
