JC TIUSECO, 23 year old college, basketball player of San Sebastian was declared the winner of the Pinoy Sole Survivor during the live telecast of "SURVIVOR PHILIPPINES".
Aside from the votes of the 8 members of the jury, the viewers’ text votes served as the 9th vote dubbed as “Boto ng Bayan” and it eliminated the possbility of a tie. JC got 93% of the text votes and he only needed 4 more to beat Rob Sy of Mandaluyong. He received a 3-million-peso check tax-free and earned the title of Pinoy Sole Survivor.
